“Brampton Aquatics” uses following descriptions for its programs (excerpt from brochure):

- Parent and Child Swim
Children must be 6 years of age or younger. Children who are not toilet trained must wear a pool pant or a cotton cloth diaper with a plastic pant under their bathing suit. - Youth Swim
Open to youths 12 to 16 years of age. - Family Swim
Children must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian 16 years of age or older. - Adult Swim
Open to persons 18 years of age or older. - Public Swim
Open to everyone. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 16 years of age or older. Check with the facility for information on minimum height requirements and swimming skill level for children over 10 years of age. - Fitness Swim
Open to anyone interested in swimming lengths. - Early Morning Swim
Open to persons 18 years of age or older. - Home School Swim
A recreational swim for parents and their children who wish to incorporate a physical element to their home schooling program. - Ladies Only Fitness Swim
Open to ladies interested in swimming lengths in a “Ladies Only” setting (this program is offered at Earnscliffe swimming pool). - Senior Swim
Open to older adults who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. - Therapeutic Swim
Ideal for older adults or persons with sore muscles, back pain, or arthritis.
Participants who are physically or developmentally challenged are invited to take part in our fully integrated swimming programs. Swimming provides an excellent opportunity to make new friends and have fun. Please bring your assistants with you. Pools marked “wheelchair accessible” are accessible to those with physical needs.

- Aqua Resistance
This challenging aquafit class will use the water and other forms of resistance to strengthen and tone your muscles. You will get a total body workout by using the water’s resistance and various pieces of pool equipment. Get toned and have fun. - Boxercise Aquafit
Combine boxing, kicking and sport specific moves with an athletic focus and watch the water boil! Geared toward the intermediate-advanced participant. Find your core strength, add the jab kick and
upper-cut. - Baby & Me Aquafit
An opportunity for both you and your baby to participate in an aquafit class. Children must be between 6 months and 2 years of age and be able to sit up on their own and comfortable in the water. - Deep Water Aquafit
A challenging, non-impact program conducted in deep water. Participants should be comfortable in deep water. Bouyancy belts will be provided. - Fibromyalgia
Under the guidance of a qualified instructor, participants with Fibromyalgia will follow a structured therapeutic aquatic program. - Gentle Aquafit
This program is a low impact, low intensity water fitness class. It is ideal for seniors, participants with fibromyalgia or arthritis, those recovering from injuries or anyone looking to start working out. - Shallow Water Aquafit
A shallow-water fitness workout conducted by an instructor, in chest-deep water. Participants do not need to know how to swim - just be comfortable in chest-deep water. - Underwater Hockey
Bring your mask, snorkel and fins! Exercise and have fun in this co-ed game (see schedule for Balmoral swimming pool). - Walk and Tone
This program is ideal for anyone interested in a low-impact cardiovascular workout with the benefits of muscular toning. - Water Walkers
A class for all fitness levels using the resistance of the water to intensify results. A low-impact
workout followed by a relaxing warm down. - Yoga Aquafit
Learn basic moves to create a whole new aquatic experience that enables you to “feel” the water like never before. Learn techniques to improve breathing, posture, flexibility core stability, co-ordination and muscular endurance using the healing properties of water.
